Interlude

 At the time I began this blog in March of 2024, my Dad was near the end of his life. We didn't know it at the time, but his cancer which had been in remission returned with a vengeance. Suffice it to say that by the middle of April, Dad had passed away and I had before me what would become a year's worth of work in settling his estate, making repairs and improvements around the old family farm and sorting through 80 years of his life. Not only Dad's life, but also the lives of both of my brothers and Mother who have all passed. A haunted house full of memories, orphaned possessions and mysteries.

Things have finally settled down for me, so I'm now moving forward with my plan to document some of the interesting people that I have found in our family tree.

My first project is something that I'm calling 'Family Tree A to Z'. Feel free to play along. The point is to represent an ancestral family Surname beginning with every letter in the alphabet. I'm still deciding who will be my 'A' person. Currently it's a toss-up between Arden and Alexander.
